By day – and often at night – I earn a living by helping people and the organisations they work for to tell their stories and share their ideas. In practice, that means writing everything from giant research reports to tiny Tweets, and talking a lot about words, messages and angles. I have a very serious LinkedIn profile here.
Is that all? No. As Montaigne wrote in On the inconstancy of our actions:
“We are entirely made up of bits and pieces, woven together so diversely and so shapelessly that each one of them pulls its own way at every moment. And there is as much difference between us and ourselves as there is between us and other people.”
